so our birthday party is tomorrow

i've been feeling much older lately,
but not in a depressing way.
i'm not sure what has brought about the change in my state of mind,
but it's okay i guess.

i just started a new job
very similar to many of the other jobs i've had in the past.
it's going pretty well i think.

it sucks when the only way you can talk to somebody you want to talk to is through emails, and that doesn't work.
oh well, i don't think there is anything to say, anyway.

i just made a pretty killer dinner out of odds and ends in the kitchen. a little white rice, some tofu sauteed with onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce. crushed pineapple and sesame oil to top it off and BAM!!!! i didn't expect to have such a good dinner. i mean, it's not perfect, there are a few things that could make it better, but i don't have those, so lay off.

it seems that the forecast for the house is good. hopefully we hear back from Pete tomorrow, i am on the edge of my seat.

the days are just getting longer now.

i just spent the last hour and a half reading livejournal entries from almost 5 years ago. if livejournal is good for anything, it has helped me remember a period of time i thought i had almost completely forgotten. thanks to my near-perfect hindsight, i have a much better idea of what some people were trying to tell me then. also, today alicia and i looked at houses, and we found one that was really great, with a nice big kitchen (seriously, both nice and big), a backyard, front AND back porches, a dishwashing machine, new carpets... it had it all. surely marc and dan will approve, the place is good for grown-ups like us. finally, to everyone i can't see often, i love you and have not forgotten you, and stop changing so fast.

I realized two things yesterday:

2)if you don't wash your hands after cooking with onions, everything you touch will smell like onions
